Position Introduction:
The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center (OU HSC) is one of the nation's few academic health centers with all health-related colleges - Allied Health, Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Public Health, and the Graduate College. OU HSC serves approximately 4,000 students in more than 70 undergraduate and graduate degree programs on campuses in Oklahoma City and Tulsa.
The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City has an opening for a full-time Senior Cook!
The successful candidate will, under general supervision, plan and prepare menus, create recipes and specialty food items, and assist with managing kitchen inventory and food costs. Responsibilities also include ordering supplies, maintaining clean and organized food preparation areas, and supporting daily kitchen operations. Additional duties may include training staff, monitoring inventory, and participating in professional development opportunities, to name a few.

Required Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or GED or graduate of a culinary school.
- 36 months food service experience.
Required Certifications and Licenses: None
Department Preferences: - Valid Food Handling and Sanitation Certification from the State of Oklahoma.
- Familiarity with preparation of gourmet and/or specialty type menu items.
- Experience with menu planning and costing.
- Experience in complete kitchen management, ethnic cooking (including baking), salad preparation, entrée selection, and pairing.
