Special Education Bus Aide

Job Title: Special Education Bus Aide

Qualifications: Demonstrates aptitude for the work to be performed

Reports To: Transportation Director

Job Goal: To help in providing a smoothly functioning transportation service for exceptional students.

Performance Responsibilities:

1. Assists disabled students on and off the Special Bus.
2. Secures the students in the seats of the bus.
3. Maintains discipline on the bus.
4. Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as the driver needs or the Director of Transportation may assign from time to time.

Terms of Employment:

• 173-day contract
• Salary to be established by the Board.

Status:

• Non-Exempt Support

Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with the provisions of the Board's policy of evaluation for classified personnel.
