Warehouse Order Selector

Fills orders for grocery stores. Selects orders using a pallet jack and a voice-activated headset. Receives, stores, and distributes material, equipment, and products within establishments by performing the following duties according to specified work rate requirements. This is a safety sensitive position.

Ability to perform the following duties along with all other duties as requested by the Warehouse Manager. Work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and Holidays. Sundays are mandatory. Drug test and physical.

  1. Uses the Lucas system to assemble customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets. Operates industrial double pallet jack or power fork lift to assist in loading or moving materials and products. Lifts heavy objects by hand or with power jack. Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand. Lift heavy product from shelf to pallet jack.
  2. Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, pallets, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
  3. Sorts and stores perishable goods in refrigerated rooms.
  4. Uses computer to enter records.
  5. Work in a freezer, cooler and dry warehouse environment.
  6. Ability to read, speak and write English to operate a Lucas system and follow safety rules.

Physical Demands & Work Environment: The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 90 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, extreme cold, extreme heat, risk of electrical shock, toxic or caustic chemicals, and vibration.

The employee may also be required to work 12+ hours a day for 4-5 consecutive days. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Starting pay $20.24 an hour and over $28 an hour at four years. Plus opportunity for weekly incentives up to 50% more per hour. Up to $1,100 in new hire bonuses! Manual case selection using Lucas headset system and double electric pallet jack. Take orders to loading dock for shipment. Shift starts at 9:00am and goes until the work is complete.

Must be 18 or older and able to work weekends. Must be able to pass a 90 lbs over the head lift test. Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally lift up to 90 lbs. Must be able to walk/stand for long periods of time. Must be able to work in varying temperatures (from room temp to -30).
