Behavioral Health Policy Coordinator

The Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS) is seeking a qualified public health professional to oversee behavioral health policy coordination within Central Administration, located in Oklahoma City. This position will coordinate the development and oversight of SoonerCare/Medicaid policy in partnership with the Oklahoma Health Care Authority, as well as the Department's regulatory rules for publicly funded behavioral health services. The role provides leadership and strategic guidance to promote policies that improve the efficient delivery of quality behavioral health services to beneficiaries, providers, and staff. The position will also work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of policy changes and alignment with agency goals and state regulations.

Job Type: Full-time, one vacancy

Salary: $81,350.00 ($39.11 per hour) not including generous benefits allowance!

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education and experience requirements consist of a master's degree in behavioral health, public policy or related field; and
  • Five years' experience in health policy development, with at least two years of experience being in an administrative or supervisory position; or
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience
