This position performs chairside dental assisting in the Pediatric Dentistry clinic at OU Children's Hospital. Duties:Provides chair side dental assistance, prepares and sterilizes equipment. Document patient care. Takes and develops dental radiographs (xrays). May provide administrative assistance. Assists the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures to include but not limited to placement of bases and liners and placement and removal of rubber dams, insertion, finishing, and removal of temporary restorations. Prepares setup trays for anesthetic, operative, prosthetic, periodontal, prophylactic, endodontic, and orthodontic dentistry. Prepares dental equipment and materials for treatment. Performs patient charting as instructed by the dentist.
