Job Description & Requirements Specialty: MRI Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 11/10/2025 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist for overnight shifts, requiring at least 1 year of experience with Philips scanners and ARRT (R)(MR) certification. Responsibilities Community hospital MRI unit with overnight shifts from 10:00 pm to 6:30 am, working either Tuesday-Saturday or Friday-Tuesday Patient population includes adult acute care, adult ICU, adult outpatient, and ER/trauma cases Duties involve working solo or assisting with training a new tech Use of Philips MRI scanners, PACS, and starting peripheral IVs with contrast media Epic EMR usage with required prior experience First-time travelers are accepted for this position Candidates must live more than 70 miles from the facility as locals are not accepted Travelers must be clean shaven for FIT testing and must complete an OSHA respirator clearance before starting Pre-start modules required, with allied modules typically taking about 1 hour Black scrubs are required as part of the dress code A 6 month break is required after 1 year of travel assignment before returning Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for consideration Requirements Minimum 1 year of MRI technologist experience, including operation of Philips MRI scanners Current BLS and ARRT (R)(MR) certifications Experience in a community hospital setting and with Epic EMR Proficiency in adult acute care, ICU, ER/trauma, and outpatient MRI procedures Experience with PACS, peripheral IV placement, and use of contrast media License required if applicable Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-622499.
