Performs admission interview process, perform registrations and order lab tests. Ensures all Medicare, insurance and managed care requirement are met. Performs venipuncture and capillary punctures for blood tests and knows all safety requirements. Performs any additional test procedures such as EKG and therapeutic IN - Rs. Performs specimen collections for urine, nasal and throat swabs. Demonstrates knowledge of specimen requirements and limitation of testing procedures. Acts as a resource for laboratory information. Processes specimens for testing, storage and site batches if applicable. Qualifications Education High school education or equivalent GED. Requires some knowledge of medical terminology. Skill in use of computers including word processing. Experience Requires three months customer service experience. Requires experience as a phlebotomist.
