Position: Staff Accountant

This is an incredible opportunity with a publicly traded leader in the solid waste services industry. This entry-level accounting role is not just about numbers—it's a launching pad into leadership, with a clear path to becoming a Controller within three years. Unlike traditional accounting roles, this position allows you to engage with operations, sales, and customer service, giving you full visibility into the business. Responsibilities:

  Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, annual budgets, audits, and system implementations

  
  


• 
  

  Support operations personnel with daily, weekly, and monthly metric calculations

  
  


• 
  

  Partner closely with District Managers to help drive strategy and operational improvements

  
  


• 
  

  Gain hands-on experience in core accounting as well as business decision-making processes

  
  

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• 
  

  Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (required)

  
  


• 
  

  Strong work ethic and a self-starter mentality with the initiative to learn

  
  


• 
  

  Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems

  
  

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

  Previous experience in an accounting-related role

  Exposure to operational or cross-functional business environments
