Overview:

The Middle School Director will lead the expansion and execution of the NXTPRO and PRO16 League's middle school division. This role is critical to the strategic growth of the league and is responsible for identifying, recruiting, and building relationships with elite boys middle school basketball programs nationwide. The ideal candidate is a strong leader, a connector in the grassroots basketball space, and passionate about creating world-class experiences for young athletes.

Key Responsibilities:

Team & Organization Recruitment:

• Drive the recruitment of competitive and mission-aligned middle school teams to participate in NXTPRO/PRO16 events across the country.

Event Presence & Scouting:

• Represent the league at weekend events by connecting with programs, evaluating talent, and identifying future opportunities for growth.

Leadership & Program Development:

• Set the strategic vision for the middle school division, creating a consistent and high-level experience for all participating programs.

Relationship Management:

• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with coaches, athletes, and families to ensure retention and alignment with league values.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Work closely with sales, operations, and media teams to align on regional strategies, team onboarding, and CRM-based tracking.

Production Expectations:

• Maintain a steady pipeline of new, high-quality teams.
• Deliver exceptional service and communication to all programs throughout the year.
• Serve as a visible leader and ambassador for the NXTPRO/PRO16 middle school platform.

Qualifications:

• Must relocate immediately to Oklahoma City
• Proven experience in grassroots basketball, preferably in leadership or program development
• Exceptional communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills
• Ability to travel frequently during event seasons (March–July)
• Self-starter with a team-first mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
