Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Dean on Duty to join our esteemed educational institution in Oklahoma City, United States. The Dean on Duty plays a crucial role in maintaining a safe and supportive campus environment, ensuring the well-being of students and addressing any behavioral issues that may arise.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for students, faculty, and staff regarding behavioral issues
  • Respond promptly and effectively to campus emergencies and critical incidents
  • Collaborate with campus security, local law enforcement, and other relevant departments to ensure campus and student safety
  • Provide guidance and support to students facing academic, personal, or behavioral challenges
  • Make informed decisions regarding student conduct issues and policy violations
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents and prepare detailed reports
  • Assist in developing and implementing campus safety protocols and procedures related to student behavior
  • Contribute to the overall student experience by fostering a positive and inclusive campus culture

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to make quick, sound decisions in high-pressure situations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse populations
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing campus issues

Additional Information

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university

  • Valid Oklahoma Teaching Certificate with required certification for the subject and level assigned, if applicable

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the core subject area assigned

  • Satisfactory outcome of a background check. Employees are responsible for a non-refundable fingerprinting fee (approximately $60).

***Applicants currently pursuing certification may apply before certification is received. All certifications must be acquired and on file with KIPP OKC before the end of the first year of employment.***
