WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

The Export Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring FDH Electronics' global trade activities are fully compliant with applicable export laws and regulations, including EAR, ITAR, OFAC, and other international trade requirements. This role works cross-functionally to support day-to-day export operations, oversee regulatory compliance processes, and foster a strong compliance culture across the organization.

What You'll Do

• Screen customers, suppliers, and transactions using denied party lists and restricted country screening tools.
• Classify products and technologies under USML and CCL; determine ECCNs, HTS codes, and Schedule B numbers.
• Apply for and manage export licenses, agreements, and exemptions with U.S. government agencies (e.g., DDTC, BIS).
• Review sales orders and shipping documentation to verify proper authorizations.
• Collaborate with supply chain, sales, and shipping departments to ensure compliant documentation (e.g., invoices, packing lists, AES filings).
• Maintain and audit records of export transactions and product classifications in accordance with regulations.
• Deliver export compliance training tailored to departmental needs.
• Act as a subject matter expert to internal teams, providing guidance on compliance topics.
• Support the development of a strong compliance culture across the organization.
• Conduct internal audits of export activities and implement corrective actions where needed.
• Assist in responding to external audits or government inquiries.
• Maintain and update the company's export compliance manual and internal procedures.
• Work with Engineering, Legal, Quality, Operations, and Contracts to review export classifications and controls.
• Monitor changes in international trade regulations and evaluate potential impacts to operations.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in International Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• 5+ years of export compliance experience, preferably in aerospace, defense, or electronics industries.
• Compliance certifications such as CUSECO or ITAR/EAR certification preferred.

Special Requirements:

• U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) or asylee/refugee status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) required.
• ITAR Requirement
• 120.15. Some positions will require current U.S. Citizenship due to contract requirements.
