Trust Compliance/Legal Officer

Location: Oklahoma City, OK

Onsite Position at BancFirst Tower, Downtown Oklahoma: 100 N. Broadway, Oklahoma City 73102

Schedule: Full Time, Monday - Friday

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain and monitor the trust compliance program to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies for trust and investment management accounts.
  • Collaborate with Trust business-line units to interpret and execute various regulatory and compliance projects, including trust compliance programs and internal policies.
  • Monitor account administration, investment, and operational compliance across corporate trust, personal trust, retirement services, and investment management.
  • Coordinate, monitor, and report on federal and state regulatory examinations and internal/external audits.
  • Serve as liaison with BancFirst Internal Audit Group on trust-related audit matters.
  • Prepare quarterly and annual FFIEC Call Reports (Schedule RC-T) and trust collateral reports for the Oklahoma State Banking Department.
  • Ensure compliance with USA Patriot Act and Bank Secrecy Act for trust and investment accounts.
  • Compile and prepare the annual Fiduciary Risk Management Report for the Executive Committee.
  • Monitor daily overdraft and large balance reports, quarterly securities transaction reports, and serve on various Trust Committees.
  • Provide legal review of governing agreements and documents for new and existing accounts, vendors, and service providers.
  • This position reports to the Operations and Compliance Manager of the Trust and Investment Management Division.

Requirements

  • Three to five years of experience in trust administration, investments, trust audit, operations, or related fields such as law practice.
  • Deep knowledge of trust administration, applicable laws, rules, and regulations, and familiarity with trust and investment management activities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in personal computing, including word processing and spreadsheet applications.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, economics, law, or more than 7 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

Juris Doctorate (JD) is preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements

  • Constant use of computer screens.
  • Ability to operate a computer keyboard, handle, reach, talk, see, and hear.
  • Intermittent standing, stooping, bending, walking, kneeling, or crouching.
  • Sitting or standing for long periods.
  • Long periods of typing and repetitive motion.
  • Ability to lift up to 5 pounds.
