Manage operations staff, climbing wall related projects, maintenance, and inspections.
Manage operations staff to ensure all work related to facility maintenance of the gym is upkept.
Order and inventory all facility supplies to include cleaning products, tools, and machines. Build out a consistent ordering/delivering schedule with approved vendors and suppliers
Manage and communicate to vendors and suppliers on behalf of Threshold for facility needs.
Execute USA Climbing Events, Communications, operations, and act as a liaison between owners and USA Climbing officials.
Ensuring Climbing Wall Instructors (CWIs) are enforcing gym rules at-all-times.
Teaching and assisting with proper fit of equipment, how to properly tie in, how to belay with an Assisted Breaking Device (ABD), teach PPE checks, dialogue and communication with climbers when needed.
Setting for Team Practice and any mock comps needed by the Head Coach
Promote Threshold memberships and services.
Administrative responsibilities and handling all Setting communication with staff
Assuring that all setters are properly certified and experienced
Participate in regularly scheduled meetings with owners
Planning and attending appropriate climbing competitions with team members
Upholding a positive ethos in the staff environment
Scheduling setters in conjunction with Operations Manager
Regular communication with Threshold management and owners
Development and implementation of advertising strategies in coordination with Threshold's marketing manager
Inspections (e.g, walls, ppe, etc.)
Works alongside staff to complete tasks which improve the member's experience
Ensure all Gym rules are followed by staff at all times. E.g., staff operating under certain access levels.
Understand and efficiently navigate MindBody (MBO) software to sign visitors in and process other front desk transactions where needed.
Education, Skills, & Qualifications:
Current CPR/AED certification required (or a willingness to acquire such certification)
Climbing Wall Instructor (CWI) certified through the American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA) preferred. AMGA Single Pitch Instructor (SPI) certification preferred.
Climbing Wall Association CWI certification required.
Annual SafeSport Training and Certification required.
USAC Youth Coaching + Training experience of high-performance athletes at the regional, divisional, and national levels in all disciplines.
