Responsibilities:

The Guthridge Lab is seeking a Research Technician for the Biorepository which supports our clinical and translational research investigators. Duties will include all repository activities related to receipt, processing, storage, maintenance and records management of human blood and tissue samples related to studies and clinical trials in a CAP (College of American Pathologists) certified facility.



Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in biological, chemical, or biochemical sciences, or equivalent professional experience in a relevant laboratory setting.

Candidates should be highly organized, motivated and team oriented. additionally, candidates should also possess the following experience and skills:

- Proficiency with laboratory techniques and computer/database use
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to maintain meticulous records
- Professionalism, a strong work ethic, and a team-oriented, personable attitude
- Ability to take directions and follow instructions accurately
- Genuine interest in contributing to patient-oriented clinical research



Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in clinical research is a plus.



Physical Demands:

Individual will need to be comfortable working in cold temperatures with appropriate personal safety protections and working with human samples.



Work Hours:

Typically, Monday through Friday from 8:30AM to 5:00PM.
