Job Summary

Under the direction of the Supervisor of Fabrication Manufacturing Operations, operates any of the following equipment: fin press, expander press, and hairpin tubing press or to perform leak test, rework, or a variety of assembly operations. Sets up and operates automatic or semiautomatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation. Monitors meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specifications. Reports any malfunctions or abnormalities and makes minor adjustments and repairs to equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts which requires the use of protective gear to ensure safety.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lays out or details layout on work stock from blueprints or templates.
  • Plans sequence of operations, applying knowledge of physical properties of metal.
  • Working well with others, with limited amount of supervision.


  • Setting up and operating several types of machines.


  • Commits to performing job duties in a manner that ensures a safe work environment.
  • Willingly and cooperatively performs other related duties as assigned by management.
  • Must be able to wear protective gear and equipment.

  • Maintains an attitude which consistently represents the organizational culture, including: the mission, vision and core attributes
  • Other Ad hoc duties as assigned by manager

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • General sheet metal knowledge
  • Capable of lifting 50 lbs
  • Standing for long periods on concrete

  • Must be able to speak and read English
  • Must have an energetic, results-oriented perspective and be able to motive your team to sustain excellence.
  • Experience in a mixed-model manufacturing environment, using lean principles is preferred.
  • The ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical specifications.
  • Ability to read and interpret production schedules.
  • Ability to get along well with a variety of personalities and backgrounds.
  • Ability to act calmly and complete tasks under stress.
  • Reliable, dependable, and trustworthy with all actions related


Job Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School Diploma and/or GED equivalent required.
  • 2-year Technical Degree or Vo-Tech certification highly preferred.
  • 5+ years of work experience with similar machinery in industrial setting required.
